Flower bible - where and when to buy the perfect bunch

 While Spring really hasn’t given us as much sun as we crave, it sure has brought out the blossoms – with a little help from Floriade of course. We have compiled some of our favourites for the perfect take home bunch that will brighten your week.

The Floral Society – A classic option for a floral list in the ACT, but we stand by this choice with their flowers remaining fresh for well into the 2 -3-week mark…longer if you choose a native selection. We recommend purchasing mid-week that will generally see you out 3 weekends of blooms, the best part is the team at the Floral Society are always changing their range so every bouquet is a little different – simply choose a colour palette and they’ll get creative for you.

Joanne Flowers of Manuka – Not only are the florals as timeless as the line in Devil wear’s Prada but boy do they bring the absolute WOW factor when it comes to events and celebrations. Double the trouble with our girl Mel from Tiny Creatures and you will be living out your celebrity floral styling dreams. Their specialty is big and bold, and they nail the brief every time. Perfect for a Monday pick me up to get you through the week, our pick is the array of gorgeous pink and purple roses.

Je Fleur – Located in Campbell you could quite literally walk from Floriade to their emporium. These bouquets pack a real punch that will add the Spring in your step…pun intended. Their style is more artistic than most other options, and we are still in awe of how they create such beautiful symmetry in an arrangement. They are so passionate about flowers they are currently hard at work creating their own flower farm, which will give them even fresher florals daily.

V-IN-E – Originally a pop up at Fyshwick markets now have a gorgeous shop in Kingston, we think an oat milk latte at Lava followed by picking up a mini bunch of fresh blooms sounds like a great start to our Saturday. We love their brown paper wrapped bouquets perfect to give to friends, celebrate an occasion or just to spark joy in your home.

Poetry of Flowers – The perfect final destination located in the North. The team know their stuff and even have a list of what is in season and what colours it comes in to make your decisions a little easier (or sometimes harder because there is so many great choices). The list is updated at the start of each month so you know the flowers are fresh and blooming daily.
